So... unspammify this. Right.

Someone on OMF said they thought Roy Mustang would die. I'm split thinking whether it will happen or not. It would be sad to be sure and I don't want it to happen, but on the other hand it would give Ed an excellent "thing to do" once they've got their bodies back. There's also the question of whether Roy could go through with the democracy to the very end... He has been in the military for quite long.

The debt Ed has to Roy (520 of their currence, right?) is important in this. Ed believes Roy can do it, which lends Roy a much better chance at surviving (plotwise) however the debt means that if Roy should die, most likely Ed will take over, using the debt he owes as the excuse.

Is that unspammy enough?

3 lines is unspammy enough, so you've succeeded. :D

Mustang dying would be very interesting...well, I've got no particular attachment to him, so I can look at it objectively. It would make a great statement, definitely, and it would also give Ed incentive. On the other hand, Hughes' funeral was depressing enough and Hawkeye is too attached to Mustang. If he dies, she'll ahve to die too, really.

Oh.

/isn't objective any more

Well, I don't want Mustang to die purely because the mangaka is too good at depression. I don't want to be depressed. D:

Plus, Ed's always been kind of mid-rank non-commanding soldier. It suits him much better than taking command, so I don't think his taking command is going to happen.

...I think it'd suit Ed to take command. Seriously, but for fuck's sake, anythign would suit him... or not. But taking command would definitely suit him.

Also... a lot of people are gonna die anyway. The mangaka already showed she's not afraid of killing (unlike the guy making Bleach -_-Wink so there'll be sadness after the Great Battle anyway... I don't think your arguments hold XD
