[CHARACTER] Abarai Renji

He hopes to one day surpass his captain. He was introduced as an antagonist but has joined up with ichigo's posse.

He seems to have got weaker since his fight with Byakuya & he only survived because he was a main character. He could barely handle the first strike of Byakuya's bankai.

He ain't got no chance.

I'm sure he will win his next fight since he did say lets do this one last time.

pfft doubt it unless Byakuya throws the fight, just to make him feel better.

Not very Byakuya like. He will most probably grind him down to a powder with his words, then rub it in with a little bankai.

Well nothing will change, Renji has got weaker & Byakuya has no new techniques. Renji will jump to bankai, his slow snake will blumber about smashing into the ground or rocks or whatever while Byakuya dodges like child play.

Mmm, I don't know actually.
Renji is in first place able to do a bankai al ready, that's one hell of an improvement.
And this was already some time ago, he may have gotten stronger.

Useless against the arrancar.

However he has the baboon cannon now & can use each segment as a weapon, maybe they will play important rolls in the fights.

You're right about the fact he isn't powerful enough to defeat the arrancar.
He's nowhere near the level of Ichigo for example, but I think Kibo has something in his sleeves for him eventually.
